Hi, I’m Chaucee, the hands behind the words on this screen. I started this blog as a college freshman in 2008 as a creative outlet while studying for my bachelor’s. Since then it’s grown into a way to document things I love and things I’m learning.

Happiness Project: January 2022

Wow, I haven’t finished a post since my last happiness project, but that’s because my schedule looks a little different these days. I started grad school on January 3rd and all of my time outside of work has been dedicated to reading, writing, and learning. Which I love! But it doesn’t lend much time for creative pursuits. Regardless, here’s what brought me happiness in January : )

As before mentioned, I started grad school this month! I took a “first day of school pic” lol. I’m really enjoying my classes so far and am so happy to be doing this. In case you missed it, this is the degree I’m pursuing.

On a drive home from town, the sky was putting on quite the show! Moments like these bring me true joy. I feel so lucky to live where I do.

Can we talk about how amazing this scene is? We got out first big dumping of snow this month and right before I headed to bed, I snapped some pics and the stars made the night so magical!

I’ve been having some health issues lately and I’ve been on a mission to get to the bottom of things. I’ve gone to my PCP, consulted with some specialists, and have a treatment plan in place that I feel hopeful about and excited to begin.

Juno, the first love of my life and very first dog, turned 9 on January 23rd! It’s hard to put in words what this pup means to me. I would try now, but I can’t be crying at the keyboard at 10:09am on a Monday.

And last but not least, I have a few foster dog! Meet Sammy, a 12-year-old poodle who lost his human when they had to enter hospice care. He’s settling in well with the pack and will have this dental next week. Then he’ll be up for adoption!

Tell me, what brought you happiness this month?
