Hi, I’m Chaucee, the hands behind the words on this screen. I started this blog as a college freshman in 2008 as a creative outlet while studying for my bachelor’s. Since then it’s grown into a way to document things I love and things I’m learning.

Saint Mary’s Glacier

My goal since moving to Denver is to do one outdoor activity a week. Since I work and take classes during the week, this is mostly relegated to weekend adventures. This past Sunday my brother, sister-in-law, and I went hiking at Saint Mary’s Glacier in Idaho Springs, CO.

It’s rated as an easy hike which is perfect for me as I adjust to the higher elevation in Colorado and get back into shape. This type of activity is much preferred to sweating it out in the gym.

Things to know about this hike:

  • Distance: 1.4 miles
  • Difficulty: 2/5 It’s a moderate rocky incline. If you are hiking while snow is on the ground, bring clip-on ice grippers as the rocky path gets slippery.
  • Dogs: on-leash
  • Fee: $5 parking lot fee
  • Scenery: 5/5
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Drive from Denver: 1 hour
  • There are portapotties at the parking lot.
  • The trail starts about 900 feet up the road on the left from the parking lot.

You actually make it appear so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be
really one thing that I believe I’d by no means understand.
It seems too complex and very extensive for me. I am having a look
forward for your next post, I will try to get the cling of it!

Hey there would you mind letting me know which web host you’re using?

I’ve loaded your blog in 3 different browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot quicker then most.
Can you recommend a good web hosting provider at a reasonable price?

I was wondering if you ever considered changing thepage layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.But maybe you could a little more in the way of content sopeople could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or twoimages. Maybe you could space it out better?

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and appearance. I must say that you’ve done a amazing job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very fast for me on Opera. Exceptional Blog!
