Hi, I’m Chaucee, the hands behind the words on this screen. I started this blog as a college freshman in 2008 as a creative outlet while studying for my bachelor’s. Since then it’s grown into a way to document things I love and things I’m learning.

My 5 Favorite Designer Collaborations

Designer collaborations with major retailers is probably one of the best things that’s happened to my wallet in the past few years. Retailers like JC Penny, Kohl’s and Target are teaming up with major fashion houses to create affordable fashion for consumers.  Here are my top five designer collaborations to shop.

Joe Fresh

Bold prints, bright colors, and sleek lines make this collection into a must have. The Striped Dress and Lace Front Dress are classic additions with a modern twist. Price Point: $20- $70.

Duro Olowu

This collection is for the jet-setting woman. The woman who loves adventure, traveling to exotic places, and is inspired by color and texture. My favorites are the Rolling SuitcaseMetallic Pencil Skirt, and the Spike Bracelet. Price point: $10 – $90

Lauren Conrad

This is Lauren’s third year with Kohl’s, which testify’s to her line being a smashing success with her customers. Her collection includes demure lady-like dresses, printed florals, tuxedo jackets, and feminine footwear. My picks are the Velvet Tuxedo Jacket, the Conrad Circle Glasses, and the Crochet Overlay Tank Top. Price Point: $10 – $60. Always check out the LC collection on Kohls.com because they’re almost always discounted!

MNG By Mango

The MNG By Mango collection for JC Penny is one of my favorite designer collaborations. My favorite pieces are the Mango Jacket, the Screen Print Tank Top, and the Copper Jeans. Their line ranges from $20- $50, but things are discounted down to $8 right now. This collection is super chic, and stylishly casual with some pieces that pop.

Prabal Gurung

If you have a lust for neon florals, structured dresses, and eye catching apparel, then this designer collaboration is for you. My favorite pick is the Floral Crush Print Dress. Price point: $14 – $199.

Final Thoughts

So there you have it! My favorite designer and retailer collaboration. It makes me excited to see talented designers teaming up with retailers to get their clothes into the hands of regular people (and by regular I mean not size 0 with flawless skin).
What designer collaboration is your favorite?
