If you could choose anything to do (like for a job), what would you do?
Without considering income, logistics, feasibility, etc … what would you choose to do with your life?
Would you travel the world? Would you design eyewear? Would you live in a cabin in the woods?
One thing I’ve always said to myself is if I got to do things over, I’d go to school to become a therapist.
Now that I’m pursuing that dream and in graduate school for a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I thought to myself… what if I had another wild dream? What would that be? It’s just fun to imagine sometimes what life could look like : )
SO. Here are my imaginary “careers” I could see myself having in another life. Or maybe even in this life, you never know!
Flower Farmer
I don’t think I could be any type of farmer, but a flower farmer? Sign me up! If this also suits your fancy, you GOTTA check out the show Growing Floret. It’s how I first caught the flower farm bug!
Run a Senior Animal Sanctuary on a Colorado Ranch
I’ve ALWAYS wanted to start a senior animal sanctuary on a ranch in Colorado. I have absolutely NO idea how to start an animal sanctuary; however, I have been fostering senior animals since 2016, so I have a little experience navigating the rescue world and handling senior animal care. It’s always been a dream of mine.
Bookstore Owner
This might actually be a dangerous career for me. Because I already spend a lot of my paycheck on books, and if I was surrounded by them constantly and in charge of sourcing books for a bookstore? Game. Over.
Book Reviewer
Reading all day and sharing the ones I love? Yes, please! Listen, I have no idea if this is an actual job OR what it looks like to do it full time, but if I could construct it how I want, I’d want to read whatever I want, review whatever I want, and only share the books I love. I guess I’m kinda already doing that on my bookstagram!
If you could choose anything to do, what would you do? Tell me in the comments!
