Happiness Practice: January

Feb 1, 2018

The other day I overheard a woman complaining about January. I don’t get it. January is the perfect chance to recharge and relax after the holidays. Staying in, drinking less, focus on cooking at home, eating healthy, reading books, and going to bed early. It’s the perfect month for introverts!

In case you’re wondering what these Happiness Practice posts are each month, last May I decided to set aside a time each month to reflect on what I’m grateful for. Choosing to dwell on the happy moments, whether big or small, resets my focus. Here’s what brought me happiness in January.

Begining the new year with my family at the foot of the mountain watching fireworks go off. Small town magic at it’s best.

Starting off the month with a good read for the 2018 Reading Challenge.

I’m starting to feel more at home here in Denver. Maybe it has to do with the ridiculous amounts of plants I have?

Finding and falling in love with my local library branch in Denver.
