Hi, I’m Chaucee, the hands behind the words on this screen. I started this blog as a college freshman in 2008 as a creative outlet while studying for my bachelor’s. Since then it’s grown into a way to document things I love and things I’m learning.

In The Spotlight: Aoki Boutique

It’s no secret that I’ve been crushing on Aoki Boutique since day one. I had heard about this new boutique through a friend’s recommendation, and I’m so glad I did! Through that I met the wonderful Alina, owner and curator of Aoki, and every time I visit I leave with something I love (so much for budgeting!).

These are some of my favorite picks. I’ve been eyeing that skull shirt for SO long now, that I finally delved into the pocketbook to make a purchase during this last visit. I’m think that bag is next on the list!
Aoki opened for the first time back in April of this year, but has since then earned the respect and admiration of the local fashion community. Alina and Aoki are names you often here these days around the fashion circle. Her edgy, yet feminine, esthetic translates well with Philadelphia’s fashionable.
The thing that makes Aoki unique is that Alina brings together the funky and unique items each lady of fashion wants to wear, yet keeps it at a reasonable price point. The products are quality, and the aesthetics are pleasing.
Streets & Stripes would like to welcome on board Aoki Boutique as a November sponsor! Thank you for your support and belief in what we are doing here … the feeling is mutual! If you’re interested in becoming a sponsor or partnering in unique ways with Streets & Stripes checking out our advertising options or email Chaucee at streetsandstripes@gmail.com.
