Hi, I’m Chaucee, the hands behind the words on this screen. I started this blog as a college freshman in 2008 as a creative outlet while studying for my bachelor’s. Since then it’s grown into a way to document things I love and things I’m learning.

Brick Lane Bikes

If you know anything about Philadelphia, you’ll know we’re a food & beer town, as well as a cycling town. I can’t even TELL you how many hipsters I see each day riding up and down the streets of Philadelphia in Northern Liberties, Fishtown, and South Philly. While I’m not an avid cyclist myself, I know many people who are, and if you’re in the market for some sustainable and fashionable cycling-wear, then THIS might be the best day of your week!

Brick Lane Bikes teamed up with H&M to release a line of functional and stylist line of jackets, vests, t-shirts, and caps that are specifically designed for cyclists. They have extra pockets, breathable and water-resistant material, and an articulated and classic design. Heck, I might just pick up cycling so I have a reason to purchase some of this stylish cycling wear!

“H&M for Brick Lane Bikes brings together the fashion, function and heritage of cycling. Each piece has been designed so it can be all day, inspired by the vibrant colors and expertise which make Brick Lane Bikes so unique. It’s great that they’ve tested every single piece around the streets of London, so we know the collection really works,” says Petter Klusell, Menswear designer at H&M.

“This collection captures the energy and excitement of Brick Lane Bikes, along with our respect for the traditions of cycling. I love how the technical details become part of the look of each piece, while the colors bring cycling’s heritage to life. I can’t wait to see guys wearing these clothes as they ride the streets of the world,” says Feya Buchwald, founder of Brick Lane Bikes.

The 11 piece collection is set to launch March 7th, 2013. Make sure to keep an eye out for the vintage inspired bike jerseys, the water repellent rider jackets, and the articulated blazers, all made from sustainable materials!
