Hi, I’m Chaucee, the hands behind the words on this screen. I started this blog as a college freshman in 2008 as a creative outlet while studying for my bachelor’s. Since then it’s grown into a way to document things I love and things I’m learning.

Painted Pumpkins

Since I’m not so good with a knife, I decided that painting pumpkins would be the way for me to go this year. And it’s super duper simple, so it makes for a great afternoon project.

I used these DecoColor Paint Pens that I picked up from AC Moore in silver and black.

I lightly outlined the shapes on the pumpkin before using the paint pens. This gave me an idea of spacing and how big I wanted the shapes to be. Then I filled it in with the pens.

Not quite sure what Juno thinks of the new pumpkin, but it kind of puts a smile on my face! I want to experiment with different patterns and styles for future pumpkins, so good thing it’s only September!
