Hi, I’m Chaucee, the hands behind the words on this screen. I started this blog as a college freshman in 2008 as a creative outlet while studying for my bachelor’s. Since then it’s grown into a way to document things I love and things I’m learning.

Whiskey Maple Hot Chocolate

Yesterday was the first snowfall in Philadelphia this year, so of course only hot chocolate would do. This recipe is spiked with whiskey and maple syrup which makes it all the more delicious. Enjoy!

Ingredients

2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 – 2 Tbsp maple syrup (depending on how sweet you like it)
Pinch of salt
1 oz Whiskey
1 cup of milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Whisk together 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 to 2 Tbsps maple syrup (depending on how sweet you like it), a pinch of salt and 1 cup of milk. Slir until the cocoa and sugar is dissolved. Add in 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1oz whiskey, stir and then serve!
