Aside from my roundup of things we did in Seattle, I thought the sunrise at Alki Beach deserved a post on it’s own!

When I experience something like this, I have a hard time putting it into words so excuse my lack of poetry. This was probably my favorite part of the whole trip. Seeing such a rich blues and the sun peaking over the towers just made me insanely happy. I was laughing, I felt full.

To put it in words better than my own, “In every walk with Nature one receives far more than he seeks” (John Muir). And that is exactly what we found. It’s important to me to make room for moments like this. Waking up early and seeing the sunrise is one of the best feelings.
