How Do You Take Your Coffee?

“I have measured out my life with coffee spoons.” — T.S. Eliot

Every morning, before digging into my to-do list, I head downstairs and start making my first cup of coffee (keyword: first). It took me a while to be able to consistently make a cup of coffee just the way I like it, but I think I’ve finally got it down.

This is my home “coffee cart” of sorts. Before I got this woven tray, everything would just sit out on the counter in a clutter, but having it all assembled on this tray pulls the look together and looks less like a muck of stuff and more like an intention part of the decor in my kitchen.

I’ve used this breakfast blend coffee roast from Trader Joe’s for years. It’s flavorful and smooth and blends well with the hazelnut creamer I use. I add four scoops to the french press and a couple shakes of ground cinnamon before pouring over hot water to steep. I heard stirring with a wooden spoon is supposed to do something magical to your coffee, so take that with a grain of salt (just not in your coffee).

Mmm, delicious : ) How do you take your coffee?

P.S. Love this adorable creamer.
