The other day, I tried something new to me – Dandelion Jelly! At first, when I saw it at the farmer’s market, I thought it was honey because of its similar color. But I discovered it’s actually made from wild dandelions that grow locally in the mountains I live in.
I slathered some of the jelly onto a piece of homemade raisin bread topped with a little bit of butter. It was delish. And it actually does have a sweet honey-like taste.
I love being able to try new things, especially when they’re locally made.
