Hi, I’m Chaucee, the hands behind the words on this screen. I started this blog as a college freshman in 2008 as a creative outlet while studying for my bachelor’s. Since then it’s grown into a way to document things I love and things I’m learning.

Happiness Project: October

Looking back, I have a lot to be thankful for this month. Big life changes were the theme of the past 31 days which presented its own set of challenges but also opportunities for thankfulness.

As you know, I drove from Philadelphia to Denver midway through the month with my best friend, my two dogs, and senior cat. Thankfully it went a lot smoother than anticipated. Being able to spend time together with my closest friend while I transitioned into a new phase in life was helpful in adjusting to my new home.

The new couch is tested and approved.

Re-decorating my new apartment has been so much fun! I can’t wait to share the before and after pictures with you.

For Mom

One of the main reasons I moved to Denver was to start coding classes. I first taught myself to code when I was 13 years old messing around on Angelfire (dating myself here lol). I never pictured myself going back to school but so far I’m really enjoying it! I also happened to sit next to the ONLY other person from Philadelphia in my class so that was an amusing coincidence on the first day of school.

A new city means new parks to explore! The pups are loving our weekend adventures and it’s so nice to have so much space for them to run around.

What brought you happiness this month?
