Hi, I’m Chaucee, the hands behind the words on this screen. I started this blog as a college freshman in 2008 as a creative outlet while studying for my bachelor’s. Since then it’s grown into a way to document things I love and things I’m learning.

Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving! Here are a few photos I snapped over the weekend while visiting my family in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

This year, we had everyone over for Thanksgiving and did our annual Christmas tree hunt in the woods. The photo below is from that hike. I just loved the crystal formations on top of the snow.

This year certainly contained hard times; however, I have so much to be thankful for.

In January, I started graduate school. I’m studying to get my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a field I find incredibly meaningful and important.

This year I also took a big step for my mental health and underwent ketamine treatment to help alleviate anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I’ve felt huge benefits from this therapy and am so grateful to feel some relief finally. I’m also incredibly thankful to have family that lives nearby to help me complete these treatments. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without their support.

The past few months have been centered on family and the passing of my Grandfather. I’m thankful we were all able to come together during this hard time.

There’s so much more to be thankful for. I love where I live, I love my pack of animals, I love my job, and I love what I’m learning at school.

I’m feeling so blessed.
