Hi, I’m Chaucee, the hands behind the words on this screen. I started this blog as a college freshman in 2008 as a creative outlet while studying for my bachelor’s. Since then it’s grown into a way to document things I love and things I’m learning.

Holding Onto The Light

This past week gave me plenty to talk about with my therapist. Sitting in stunned silence on the evening of November 8th, I found myself at a loss for words, utterly horrified and disappointed with the election results. I’m not here to talk politics, but it felt wrong to just let this pass by without notice or mention. I know many of us are hurting and scared of what the next four years will look like. I know I am. I hope you’re finding ways to reach out, get involved, and connect with your community. This election has revealed so much about our culture that needs work. But one thing I know about the American people is that we are resilient and we are Stronger Together.
