Philly Favs: Honey’s Sit ‘N Eat

It’s Sunday, so let’s talk brunch. Honey’s Sit ‘N Eat in Northern Liberties is in my top 5 vegetarian brunch spots in the city. Their tofu scramble is the best in the city, but the other day I had their vegetarian biscuits and gravy! That dish was one of my favorites before going plant-based and I always get ridiculously emotional when I see a veg version on the menu.

But if you’re going there for brunch, try to snag a seat at the counter. This place is pretty popular on the weekends, but the counter usually has an open spot or two. For that reason, it’s one of my favorite places to eat solo. I almost always get seated within 5 minutes if I’m by myself otherwise, the wait can be up to 45 minutes on the weekend if you have a larger group. Another option is to grab an early breakfast during the week when they have discount prices before 9am.

What’s your favorite breakfast spot in Philly?

  • “True belonging doesn’t require you to change who you are; it requires you to be who you are.

True belonging is the spiritual practice of believing in and belonging to yourself so deeply that you can share your most authentic self with the world and find sacredness in both being a part of something and standing alone in the wilderness.” @brenebrown

  • This year I signed on as a marketing columnist for my local newspaper The Mountain Ear!

My first column came out last week and talks about the beginning steps toward setting up a social media marketing plan for your small business. As a digital-driven millennial, it's fun to see my words in print. 😊
  • Decisions are not isolated events. They point us in the direction we're headed. While I feel like I've made a lot of progress this past year, there are things in my past that are holding me up. I'm making a commitment to let go of that hurt instead of trying to make it better. Saying goodbye was always the right decision. I just wish I'd realized that sooner.
