Essential Oils For Daily Use

It’s no secret that essential oils have magical powers. Well maybe not magical, but they sure can work wonders! I love using natural products as much as I can (although I still have a long way to go) and I wanted to share with you about the two essential oils that have helped me with two major problems in my skin care routine. Thankfully, a little bit goes a long way.

Essential Oils For Daily Use

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is extracted from the leaves of the tea tree Melaleuca Alternifolia which is native to Southeast Queensland and the Northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia. It’s taxi when taken orally, but is wild used in cosmetics and skin care treatment at low concentrations. I’ve found tea tree oil to be helpful with eliminating zits, conditioning a dry scalp (thanks, winter) and diminishing moles. I’ve added just a dab to small moles that are starting to form on my face and they disappear in about a week or two! This hasn’t worked with moles I’ve had for years and years, but only ones that are just starting to form.

Lavender Oil

I struggle with dry skin but especially during winter. I’ve found that apply Lavender essential oil and using lavender infused products like this Lavender Vanilla body sugar scrub drastically improves the itch and bumps from dry skin. Lavender is also good for use in aromatherapy and I’ve made Lavender infused soy candles for at-home use.

  • When you're a biz owner who is selling a service, increasing inquiries is how you expand your reach and sign more clients.

But most biz owners I talk with don't have a website that is good at asking for the sale.

Usually their site has a pretty template, but they're not getting any contact form submissions.

Today I want to guide you to take a second look at the call to actions on your website (also called CTAs). Call to Actions usually take form as a button on a website that says "learn more / get started / book now". Call to actions need to be super duper clear and ACTIVE, not passive.

Example:

Passive: Learn More | Active: Schedule a Call

Being direct with your CTAs makes it easy for people to reach out and hire you.

If your visitors are struggling trying to figure out what the next steps are, they’re not going to sit there and figure it out. They have better things to do with their time. Like finding someone who makes it easy to work with them.

Asking people to take action, to DO something will start increasing inquiries on our website. Sometimes small tweaks can make a big difference.

  • One mistake I see often with websites that aren't converting, is that they're overly focused on the actual design and pay little attention to the website content or copywriting.

Now, great design is 100% important and essential to a high performing website. But that's not the only ingredient to successful websites.

If your website could use a copy re-fresh try this:

1. Give them the good stuff first. You have an average of 3 seconds to captivate a website visitor’s interest so put your best stuff up top.

2. Be clear and specific - If they’re confused, they’re going to go somewhere else.

3. Ask questions and solve problems - Asking questions forces people to answer them in their heads which increases engagement and making it more likely for them to continue reading.

4. Write about benefits, not features. It’s not the physical product your customer wants, but what their life will BE like with that product.

5. Clear Next Steps - End each page with a call to action or clear next steps you want your visitors to take.

Don’t be vague. Avoid generalities. Paint vivid pictures by using detail and specifics.

Short and simple beats clever and creative every time.

Remove jargon and buzzwords.

Keep it conversational. Write like how you speak, like how your customer speaks. Writing this way fosters connection with people who have otherwise never met you.

Show some personality. To attract your ideal client you have to show them who you are!
